What to Expect at Your Child’s First Dance Class
Starting dance can be exciting—and a little nerve-wracking—for both children and parents. At Miss Zoe’s School of Dance, we make the first experience fun, welcoming, and stress-free.
Communication Before Your Class
Email & text reminders will be sent before your class with all the details you need: time, location, what to bring, and what to wear.
We make sure families feel informed and confident ahead of time.
Arriving for Class
Arrive at the admin desk to check in and meet your teacher.
You’ll be shown into the room and introduced to the space.
Parents of children under 3.5 years are welcome to stay during the class.
Parents of older children can watch from outside, or drop off and pick up afterward.
What Your Child Will Receive
Children under 8 receive a welcome pack with goodies and a sticker sheet.
Bring a drink bottle to stay hydrated.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in—no uniform is required at Miss Zoe’s.
During the Class
The teacher will guide your child through a fun, engaging session designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love of dance.
Activities are age-appropriate, inclusive, and focused on fun.
At the end of class, the teacher will chat briefly with parents about how your child enjoyed the session.
Follow-Up After Your Class
After class, you’ll receive a follow-up text to see how your child enjoyed their session and answer any questions.
This helps parents feel supported and connected, even after leaving the studio.
Free Trial and Flexibility
Your first class is a free trial, regardless of the payment method chosen upon registration.
If a class isn’t the right fit, children are welcome to try other classes until they find the one they love.
At Miss Zoe’s, we provide a fun, supportive, and child-focused environment, giving students room to explore and find the classes that suit them best.
